The EliteNAS EN212W12 NAS / iSCSI Unified Storage is a comprehensive feature-rich 2U 12-bay NAS rackmount with Intel Xeon Quad-Core processor and 8GB ECC memory. Based on Microsoft Storage Server 2012 R2, the EN212W12 is a performance tuned NAS server with iSCSI initiator and target support, unified file-level based and block-level based access in the storage. Advance storage technologies such as file de-duplication (SIS, Single-Instance Storage), replication (DFSR, Distributed File System Replication) and snapshot (VSS, Volume Shadow Copy Service) are provided without additional cost. Built-in hardware RAID 5 and 6 protections, with up to 192TB of total storage capacity and dual Gigabit Ethernet, ensures optimal performance in your storage environment. Built-in hot-swappable redundant power supplies, along with the RAID 1 for OS hard drives, ensure minimum downtime. With industry first built-in Mini-SAS HD 12G SAS expansion port, the EN212W12 allows expansion of up to 7 more addition EliteSTOR SAS Expander JBOD storage units, or a total of 122 hard disk drives in a network sharing or iSCSI environment.

EliteNAS EN212W12 with Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2012 R2(WSS2012R2) provides file and block level storage services built-in on Windows Server 2012. File based access fully support Active Directory in CIFS and NFS. Block level storage supported by providing both iSCSI initialor and target. WSS2012 is optimized for performance in file serving role, as well as standard Single Instant Storage (SIS) for de-duplication, Volume Shadow Copy service (VSS) for snapshot and Distributed File System Replication (DFS-R) for file replication.
iSCSI for Hyper-V Host and Guest
With Hyper-V, the Microsoft hypervisor-based server virtualization technology enables customers to make the best use of the server hardware investments by running multiple/different operating systems—Windows, Linux, and others simultaneously using only a single server to fully leverage the true power of latest computer processor technology. WSS2012R2's build-in iSCSI support enable Hyper-V guest to expand the storage via iSCSI. It also supports shared iSCSI storage with SCSI-3 persistent target.
Additional Storage Expansion-No Storage Expansion Gateway License Needed
In order to maximize the return on investment, the EN212W12 allows additional direct attached or storage area network storage connected to EN212W12 as NAS or iSCSI without additional storage expansion gateway costs.
10Gb Network Interface Controller Option for 10GbE Network Support
10Gb Ethernet network Interface controller card is supported for 10Gb Networking. With 10 times faster bandwidth compared to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, the 10Gb network interface controller provides high performance solutions when needed. 10GBASE-T, XFP, SFP+ and CX4 connectors are available.
Environmental friendly 80 Plus Platinum level (94%) Redundant Power Supply
To provide the most environmental friendly possible, yet protect from power supply failure, for using in data center environment, EliteNAS 12G series are equipped with 80 Plus Platinum level (94%) redundant power supply.
