AccuRAID AR1 Series
Rackmountable Dual RAID Controller for JBOD / JBOF
Rackmountable Dual RAID Controller for JBOD / JBOF
Easy flexible server expansion with up to 3.5PB+ capacity and performance increase over 6,000 MB/s
The AccuRAID AR1 Series is the newest product offering from SANS Digital, a leading manufacturer of data storage appliances. The AR1 Series offers a simple way for administrators to add capacity and/or performance to almost any existing server that has a either a SAS, FC-SAN, or IP-SAN connection. Allowing users to expand their servers to over 3.5 Petabytes with RAID or Non-RAID (JBOD Mode) options using standard JBODs or JBOFs. The AR1 Series is easily managed via an integrated web-GUI for easy setup and monitoring of all drives regardless of size. The AccuRAID AR1 Series is truly the best solution for administrators looking to further enhance their existing head unit safely and easily.

- Meets Future Capacity Needs - Storage Capacity can be easily expanded by adding more JBODs and/or putting a Fiber Channel Switch or 10GbE switch between the hosts and the AccuRAID AR1.
- Dual-Modes Options (RAID Mode / JBOD Mode) - Hardware RAID with parity protection provides the best price-performance combination of usable capacity, performance, and budget. With JBOD Mode, the IT Admin can bypass the RAID stack and continue to use their preferred operating system and filesystem for disk/volume management or clustering.
- Web GUI Management - A user friendly and human intuitive Web GUI for management not only for RAID functions to the disks, but also solve two major common management issues for those who use OS or Software RAID on JBOD : Easy to identify HDDs in a big JBOD, and Automatically Indicates Failed HDDs with LED.

Single Mode Firmeware: When dual-controllers with "single mode firmware", the two controllers are independently operated, connecting to two different JBOD, for maximum capacity utilization.
High Availability / Redundant Mode Firmeware: When dual-controllers with “redundant firmware”, the two controllers are in Active/Active mode with cache mirroring through dedicated high speed bus supporting Active/Active Multipath, Auto Load-Balance, Failover and Failback operations. Intended for both controller connected to a single JBOD for high availability environment.
