Overview

The TowerSTOR TS1U-B is an innovative external 3.5” SATA hard drive enclosure with built-in SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface in attractive aluminum housing. The new USB 3.0 specification provides up to 5Gb/s of data bandwidth which is 10x faster than the speed of USB 2.0. High performance hard drives could now utilize the increased bandwidth to provide maximum data transfer performance. USB 3.0 is versatile and allows backward compatibility with USB 2.0 ports when USB 3.0 port is unavailable. The fanless design on the TS1U-B makes the TS1U-B an ideal storage solution for environment that requires total silence such as in an audio/video studio. TS1U-B supports OS such as MS-Windows, Linux and Mac OS* with Time Machine. Combining the elegant aluminum housing with USB 3.0 performance and fan-less technology, the TS1U-B is your ideal storage system for personal or creative professional's data storage needs.

*MAC currently does not support USB 3.0 adapter cards, but is compatible with TS1U-B via USB 2.0 ports.
