Overview

The InstaRAID IR12TB is an innovative internal RAID subsystem supporting two 2.5" hard drives in a 3.5" hard drive physical dimension. With a two-in-one design of the 2.5" hard drive trays and RAID status LED, the unit can be selected between RAID 1 (mirroring) and RAID 0 (striping) by the convenience of a swtich. The IR12TB has a footprint resembling a regular 3.5" hard drive, as well as the same screw location, power and data connector. This supports stripping and mirroring using the hardware RAID engine, providing an ideal solution for internal RAID solutions that are limited space.
