The AccuSTOR AS316X is a 3U rack-mountable SAS JBOD rackmount for high capacity data storage. Utilizing the latest SAS technology, the AS316X provides mini-SAS host to 16 high performance SAS hard drives or high capacity SATA drives. The AS316X includes two mini-SAS expanders, allowing it to expand up to 6 additional units using tree-structure, which equals to 112 bays (a maximum of 224TB with 2TB hard drives). The AS316X could also be attached to a RAID head unit in a tree-structure to establish a single multi-terabyte RAID capable volume, saving users the cost of purchasing additional RAID units. RAID protection on this JBOD unit is available via LSI, Areca or Adaptec SAS RAID controllers to ensure maximum performance and redundancy. Redundant power supply, hot-swappable cooling fan and cable-less backplane design allows easy trouble shooting and maintenance. The versatility of the AS316X allows the configuration of specific combinations of storage resources, ensuring the life-cycle and usability of the hardware for the long-term.
